Laura Surace studied Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at the University of Pavia, Italy. She graduated cum laude in 2011 and then she was selected to attend the PhD program of the UZH/ETH in Zürich. She obtained her doctorate in Cancer Immunology at the University of Zürich, Switzerland. In 2016, she was awarded a SNSF and a Marie Curie fellowship to start her Postdoc at the Institut Pasteur in Paris, France. She then moved to Bonn, Germany, and joined the Institute of Clinical Chemistry and Clinical Pharmacology where she became a group leader in 2022. In 2023, she was awarded a Max Eder Grant by the Deutsche Krebshilfe and was recruited as Junior-Professor of Tumor Immunometabolism (W1-tenure track) by the Medical Faculty of the University of Bonn.
